Dexter is one of my favourite programmes at the moment. It's about a serial killer, Dexter, who works for the Miamo Metropolitan police as a blood spatter analyst, and whose job it is to help catch other killers. Despite his thirst to kill, by following a code set by his adoptive father, Dexter only kills those who truly deserve it.

The first two series of this show are available on DVD, and are both definitely worth a watch, though obviously I would recommend starting with the first series or you won't understand a lot of the second. The brilliant thing about this programme is that although the main character is a killer, you are totally on his side, and are worried that one day he is going to get caught. The acting is also fantastic, especially from Michael C Hall, who plays Dexter.
